About The Author

Hi, I’m Amalia.

I started Gable Glow because I couldn’t find what I was actually looking for — honest, practical home ideas that worked in real spaces, for real budgets, and real lives.

I’m not an interior designer. I’m someone who has spent years figuring out what makes a home feel good, and I want to share everything I’ve learned with you. Whether you’re refreshing one room or rethinking your entire space, you’re in the right place.

How I See Style

Style isn’t about following trends. It’s about understanding what you want to feel when you walk into a room — and then building toward that feeling.

To me, Gable Glow means intentional, not minimal. It means choosing pieces that actually belong, editing out the noise, and letting each space breathe. Your home doesn’t need to look like a showroom. It needs to look like you.

That idea is behind every single post on this blog.

What You Will Find Here

Gable Glow covers every corner of your home:

Home Decor Ideas — Styling tips, color guides, and decor inspiration for every room and every taste.

Kitchen Ideas — Functional layouts, smart storage, and design ideas that make your kitchen work harder and look better.

Bedroom Ideas — Calm, restful spaces built around comfort, good organization, and the right finishing touches.

Living Room Ideas — Furniture arrangements that actually work, decor that lasts, and layouts that invite people in.

Backyard Ideas — Outdoor spaces that feel as considered and comfortable as your interior.

Garden Ideas — Planting guides, container gardens, raised beds, and seasonal ideas for every skill level.

Outdoor Decor — Lighting, furniture, and styling ideas that extend your home beyond four walls.

My Process

Nothing goes up on this blog without real thought behind it.

Every idea I share is something I have personally tested, researched, or worked through. I look at materials, costs, alternatives, and practicality before I write a single word. I want every post to give you enough to make a real decision — not just feel inspired for five minutes and then forget about it.

I write clearly and directly. No filler, no padding, no ideas that only work in a perfect scenario. Just practical content you can actually use.

What I Believe

A few things I stand by, no matter what:

  • Your home should serve your life, not the other way around.
  • Beautiful does not have to mean expensive. Intentional always beats costly.
  • There is no single right aesthetic. The right one is yours.
  • A room that is lived in is more interesting than a room that is staged.
  • Small changes, done well, make more of a difference than big renovations done carelessly.
  • Sustainability and style are not opposites. They are the same goal.

What I Am Working On Now

Right now I am putting together a small kitchen storage guide for spaces under 100 square feet, a beginner garden series for anyone starting their first outdoor plot, and a seasonal refresh lookbook with low-cost ways to update your main living areas as the year changes.

New content goes up regularly, so check back often or follow along on Pinterest to stay in the loop.

How to Use This Blog

Just starting out? Browse by category and pick one room to focus on first. Get that space feeling right before moving on.

Working on a specific project? Use the search bar or go straight to the relevant category. Every post is written to stand alone — no context needed from other articles.

Looking for ongoing inspiration? Follow me on Pinterest where I share daily finds, mood boards, and ideas that don’t always make it into a full post.

Have a question? Use the contact page. I read every message.

A Few Personal Notes

I am not an interior designer, and I have never claimed to be. What I have is years of experience making decisions in real homes — some that worked beautifully, and some that taught me something useful.

I work with real budgets. Most of the ideas here are designed for actual apartments and houses, not unlimited renovation funds.

I have strong feelings about clutter. Not because minimalism is the goal, but because every object in your space should earn its place. When it does, everything feels better.

Let’s Connect

If you have a question, a room you’re stuck on, or just want to say hello — I’d love to hear from you.

You can reach me at [email protected] or find me on Pinterest, where I am most active.

Thanks for being here. I hope something on this blog makes your home feel a little more like you.
