Hey, I’m Amalia Trevis! I’ve spent the last 8 years living in rentals, four different apartments, three different cities, and not one of them let me drill a single hole in the wall.
Every time I moved, I faced the same problem. A blank, boring space, a landlord’s list of rules, and a budget that didn’t stretch nearly as far as I wanted it to. I’d search for decorating ideas online and find gorgeous rooms full of paint colors I couldn’t use and furniture I couldn’t afford.
So I started figuring it out myself. Command strips instead of nails. Thrift store finds instead of full-price furniture. Layout tricks that made a 500 square foot apartment actually feel like home. That’s how this blog started, as the site I wish I’d had eight apartments ago.
